After the key is released, the megaraptor will crouch for a fraction of a second and then leap back. You do not become invulnerable until the leaping portion of this ability begins.

*Primary Attack: A standard bite. It deals medium damage and inflicts little bleed damage.

*Secondary Attack: A Slash Attack, inflicting high bleed and moderate damage, while having an very high DPS (Damage per Second). Press-and-hold attack where it continuously swipes with its claws and consuming ability power while the key is held. You cannot sprint while using Slash Attack. Additionally, while using Slash Attack, you walk a little bit slower. Slash Attack can be held indefinitely until the player runs out of ability power. Slash Attack stops immediately when the Secondary Attack key is released.

Tips
*A pack is a necessary when playing as Megaraptor, the more the better.

*Skilling it's unique Evasive Maneuver talent should be a must as it highly increases the jumping distance and decreases how fast you have to charge it.

*Speed and Combat Tree are recommended, as a 3/3 Swiftness Megalosaurus can still outrun a normal Megaraptor.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
Creatures who deal injury should be avoided unless skillful, as a limping Megaraptor is easy prey for even the unless harmless of creatures. Also Megaraptor seems very vulnerable to stress so big herds should be avoided.

Additional Notes
* Alongside the Megalosaurus, Megaraptor is one of the fastest-swimming non-aquatic playable creatures, becoming a fairly competent swimmer when the aqua affinity, strong lungs and resilience talents are maxed out. Due to this, it can be an excellent dinosaur for island hopping, though it is especially vulnerable to aquatic predators if used in such a way.

Overview
The Megalosaurus is a playable carnivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is the second fastes predator, the fastes is the Megaraptor, that can chase its prey for long distances thanks to its incredible speed. Such prey include the Parasaurolophus, Velociraptor and Ichthyovenator, as well as most juvenile creatures.

The Megalosaurus can detect the amount of health a nearby creature has. This lets the Megalosaurus properly decide whether a hunt should be initiated or not, as the health of a creature can determine if a fight will be easy or rough. Additionally, the Megalosaurus can invest talent points into the ability Identification to further enhance its ability to detect, further revealing their stamina, comfort, sex, water, food and even ability power. With such knowledge of its prey, the Megalosaurus can easily capitalize on their weakness.

_________________________________________________________

Pros and Cons
Pros
* Can reveal the information of its prey

* Great speed

* Decent damage

* Great turn radius

* Stronger in numbers. Enough to take down T-rex using tactics and skill

Cons
* Vulnerable to larger predators such as the Acrocanthosaurus

* Middling weather resistance

* High skill gap if you wish to hunt bigger prey

* Weak as solo. Expect to hunt smaller creatures or live off of spawn gore as a solo player.

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
*Primary Attack: A large, outward bite. It deals good damage and has a moderate rate of attack speed.

*Secondary Attack: Same as the Primary Attack, except it makes the Megalosaurus bite downwards instead of forwards.

*Special Ability: The Megalosaurus can gather the information of its prey. When the Ability Key is held down, a cursor will appear on the screen. When this cursor is pointed at a creature, it will be identified, allowing the Megalosaurus to see its stats. This ability consumes ability power.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
The Megalosaurus is far from an apex predator. It is threatened by predators much more larger and dangerous than it, such as the Acrocanthosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex, as well as the Mosasaurus if near a large body of water.

_________________________________________________________

Additional Notes
* The Megalosaurus is currently the second fastest running creature in the game, tied with the Pachycephalosaurus. However, its speed pales in comparison to swimming creatures such as the Elasmosaurus and flying creatures such as the Pteranodon and Tropeognathus. As of the 21st december 2021 Megalosaurus lost it's bleeding ability and also the serrated teeth which got replaced with sharp teeth.

* Megalosaurus is one of the fastest-swimming non-aquatic playable creatures, becoming a fairly competent swimmer when the aqua affinity, strong lungs and resilience talents are maxed out. Due to this, it can be an excellent dinosaur for island hopping.

Due to this, it can be an excellent dinosaur for island hopping.
