Herbivorous creatures rely solely on consuming plants for food. They are unable to consume fish or meat. Beasts of Bermuda currently has the following playable, herbivorous creatures:

*Apatosaurus
*Lurdusaurus
*Oryctodromeus
*Parasaurolophus
*Saichania

Different herbivores are capable of consuming different types of plants. Typically, size is the factor that determines what plants an herbivorous creature is capable of eating. Each herbivore belongs to a foliage class, which determines, among other things, what plants they can eat. Larger creatures are capable of eating larger plants than smaller herbivores, but in turn, the larger creatures also receive significantly less food value from smaller plants. For this reason, it may be not worth the effort for a large herbivore, such as the Apatosaurus, to consume grass or small bushes, whereas a Pachycephalosaurus might find these smaller plants enticing. Only the Apatosaurus and very large members of other species, particularly Parasaurolophus, are capable of eating larger foliage such as trees.

Herbivores often harbor more beneficial weather resistance than other terrestrial creatures, allowing easier weathering of storms. The Apatosaurus in particular is most suited to toughing through bad weather due to its slowness and inability to access many caves.

Herbivores are able to make cross-species groups with one another and form herds, whereas other creatures are only able to group with their own kind. This grouping system encourages cooperative play when players are herbivores, contrast to the competitive play of carnivores. Players seeking a highly social experience would likely enjoy the herbivorous playstyle.

While other creatures are stressed by the presence of different species, herbivores grant comfort towards one another when in close proximity regardless of being the same or different species. They are also capable of forming cross-species friendships, which is unique only to herbivores. The Apatosaurus in particular grants significant comfort to other nearby herd members.

Overview
The Pachycephalosaurus is a playable omnivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. Though small in stature and lacking in bulk, it is an extremely dangerous opponent when confronted on steep slopes and cliffs, as its ramming attack deals devastating knockback to even large creatures, sending them to helplessly fall to their death.

The Pachycephalosaurus is also a bruiser, allowing it to inflict significantly more injury damage than others.

It also can inflict injury damage regardless of where it hits. This allows its primary attack to inflict injury damage of significant degree, especially to smaller creatures such as the Utahraptor.

Abilities
*Head Ram
** Default: LMB (Left Mouse Button)
** A head ram, which inflicts moderate damage. It applies knockback when it hits with this attack, which is unique to the Pachycephalosaurus.
*Charge:
** Default: RMB (Right Mouse Button)
** A charge, which must be initiated while the Pachycephalosaurus is sprinting at full speed.

* How to Use
** When the secondary attack key (defaults to Right Mouse Button) is held down, the Pachycephalosaurus will begin charging. When charging, it instantly gets a speed boost but has a very poor turn radius. The longer it charges, the faster it goes.
** Charging rapidly drains ability power, but consumes no additional stamina beyond what would normally be consumed by sprinting. The faster the Pachycephalosaurus is going when it strikes its target, the more damage, injury, and knockback it will apply. A particularly long and fast charge can almost put a Velociraptor into orbit! The Pachycephalosaurus will stop charging if it runs out of ability power or stamina.

Survival Tips
*When playing Pachcephalosaurus, stay in rugged terrain or on hills to have the advantage against predators. However, do watch out for flying creatures, for they can strike from above and kill an unprepared Pachycephalosaurus. An exceptionally large Tropeognathus can even pick up a Pachycephalosaurus on the fly!

Trivia
*The Pachycephalosaurus is the first dinosaur to have all calls implemented.
*There used to be a bug where 0.4 Pachies and smaller, would deal full knockback, this has since been fixed.
*Pachycephalosaurus will be getting a remodel by developer Cαllie.
What is Beasts of Bermuda?
Beasts of Bermuda is a survival game in which you play as a prehistoric creature native to the mysterious islands of Bermuda: a tropical ecosystem absent from human contact. With its propensity to storms and shifting tides, Bermuda is an ever-changing ecosystem.
Choose from up to 15 of the currently available creatures, and battle your way through the severity of hunger, thirst, stress, and predation, all of which are aspects that pose as constant threats to your survival. Play as whichever creature suits you the best, be it an herbivore, a carnivore, a marine, or a flyer, and learn to thrive on the islands of Bermuda.

The game is currently under development, and was first released on December 21st, 2018 as a primarily multiplayer server experience. Check out its Steam page here!

What does Beasts of Bermuda have to offer?
Beasts of Bermuda offers the experience of playing in unique niches as an aquatic, flying, or terrestrial creature. Certain creatures specialize in unique gameplay. For instance, semiaquatics offer a lifestyle that is different to traditional carnivores and marines, as they are both adept at swimming and running.

The game also has unique map elements. Whether you're seeking a cave to shelter from a storm, waiting for the tide to drop in order to walk safely to a new island, or migrating to avoid a forest fire or a depleted water source, the map is always changing around you and feeling alive.

The playable creatures in Beasts of Bermuda all have their own unique abilities. Some can grab their prey, others can pounce large distances, and some can even climb up walls. Every animal is different in Beasts of Bermuda, and a lot of effort has been put into making the mechanics unique and enjoyable.

Comfort is a unique mechanic that determines how healthy your creature is. At its highest peak, a creature can grow well, but at its lowest, a creature becomes stressed and can die. Stress can be caused by (but is not limited to) over-eating, staying near ungrouped creatures, and exposure to harsh storms.

Beasts of Bermuda gives players free reign over how they look. Skins are completely customizable, allowing the user a free range of color choices, whether it be for camouflage or dazzle. Additionally, the talents mechanic allows players to choose their creature's specialties and spend points in different kinds of playstyles, such as extra health or speed.

Breeding is also an available mechanic; offspring will receive a mixture of their parents' corresponding skins and colors, as well as occasionally sporting mutations of the leucistic, melanistic, and wildcard varieties. Offspring will receive inherits based on their parents' talent trees.

Many different challenges are always present in Beasts of Bermuda. One must find food and quench their thirst in the ever-changing environment. Different animals have different means of obtaining food. Some are carnivores who need to hunt and eat their fellow players to survive. Others are herbivores, and thus have more peaceful means of eating. Piscivores are capable of eating both other players and fish. Along with the necessities of day-to-day survival, mother nature is always at your heels with its unpredictable weather that keeps the game interesting to play.

Current Gamemodes

* Life-cycle - This is the nominal gamemode, and by far the most popular. The player begins as a juvenile of any species and grows over time, becoming more powerful the bigger they get. Eventually, accompanying model changes will differentiate younger members to their older counterparts. This mode is coupled with a talent or point-based system, in which the player becomes more powerful in the skills they choose. An additional aspect of this gamemode is the work-in-progress Trial System.

* Combat - This gamemode involves constant battling. Players will spawn as adult creatures, and can kill other players in order to gain ever-increasing points. When you die, a percentage of your points are transferred to your killer.

* Free Roam - In this gamemode, the player can select any creature to play as without the cost of punishment for death. This mode offers a relaxed atmosphere in which the player can do as they wish. Players tend to join this gamemmode to socialize, explore, or fight.

Regardless of the selected mode of play, settings may differ from server to server based on the owner's preferences.

Where is Beasts of Bermuda in its development?
Beasts of Bermuda began development on January 16th, 2017. Currently, the game offers a fully functional game world with many combat mechanics and map-based survival elements already in place. Make no mistake, our game is still pre-release and very much under development. Future development will likely focus on expanding the playable creature roster, improving the quality of the graphics, models, general assets, and then implementing additional gamemodes.

The game released on Dec 21st, 2018 on the game's steam page. Within their steam page are the game's patch notes where you can read in detail what new mechanics have been implemented. However, the best way to keep up with development is to join the official Beasts of Bermuda discord (https://discord.gg/jYaRG5X), where you can ask the developers in the appropriate channels about the current build of the game.
All creatures stated above will be getting remodels at some point in the near future, or distant future.

* Palaeophis
* Tapejara
* Zupaysaurus

There is a chance that the following creatures will be playable due to the interest of the developers in expanding the niches available to players in Beasts of Bermuda. Many of these animals are selected due to their unique niches or ability to utilize certain gameplay mechanics. Many are piscivores, aquatics, flyers, or semiaquatic creatures.
Discussed creatures are animals that have been discussed to be added, but have not been confirmed and are less likely to be added. The developers hope to have at least two creatures of every "type" added to the game. With the proper resources, some of these creatures may be added.

Where the words (one of) appear, only one creature of that group will be added.
Why does Beasts of Bermuda need Donations?
Beasts of Bermuda needs funds to commission and contract professionals for services related to modeling, animating, sound design, skin design, level design, and overall improvements to the game. Up to this point, the game has been worked on by Predatoria and Vipe, two indie developers focused on the coding behind the game, with freelance contribution from several contributors. Most of our current models are from asset stores, and we want to replace them with professional models. To bring our game to the next level of quality, we need to network with professionals in all departments of game design rather than just indefinitely coding more mechanics into the game, which requires funding neither of us can afford to do.

Donations are not open at this moment.
