Diet: Fish, Meat<br>

The Iththyovenator is a piscivore, and is able to easily catch fish to sustain its hunger.

Its primary attack, both in and out of the water, is a simple bite. It inflicts moderate damage and has a moderately quick attack speed.

Out of the water, its secondary attack is a claw swipe, dealing identical damage to that of its primary attack, but along its claws such that it can more easily hit raptors, or other smaller creatures that are directly in front of and below its jaw.

Unique Abilities: In the water, its secondary attack becomes a dart. Darting allows the Ichthyovenator significant aquatic mobility in a unique way not granted to the Mosasaurus or Elasmosaurus. It can, for the cost of stamina and ability power, propel itself with a powerful thrust through the water. While darting, its jaw will open, allowing it to more easily catch and consume fish. If fish are successfully caught, the Ichthyovenator will be returned some of the ability power consumed on the use of the dart, allowing it to easily sustain rapid and continuous fishing should it be successful with aim.

While grabbed by a creature such as the Mosasaurus, the Iththyovenator can struggle, evading the jaws of death at the cost of significant ability power, stamina, HP, and infliction of severe injury. The price may be high, but a Mosasaurus can thrash the Ichthyovenator to death in one grab, so any price is better than death. The intent is that a player can use this ability to escape a grab and scamper to shore. If, however, one is caught too far away from the shoreline, the exhausted and injured Ichthyovenator will be caught once again by the Mosasaurus rather easily.

Other facts: The Icthyovenator is currently the only semi-aquatic carnivore. This gives it a massive advantage over other carnivores, giving it access to an entire new food source: fish. Being semi-aquatic also allows the Icthyovenator to be flexible, able to migrate from land to sea or between islands to evade both land and sea predators. It is rather slow on the land, being a bit slower than the Acrocanthosaurus.

The Elasmosaurus is an aquatic creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a piscivore and primarily roams the Ocean, consuming fish. This creature, however, is hardly defenseless, and can pose significant threat to any terrestrial creatures who dare enter the water. Creating the Elasmosaurus and transforming it into a practical creature for gameplay was a difficult endeavor, mostly due to its long neck. A development blog post was created on the topic here. It is currently the only creature to have an auto-aim mechanic with its bite attack, and uses a similar mechanic to eat carcasses or grab smaller prey.

The Elasmosaurus' primary attack is a bite. It deals light damage, on par with raptors or other smaller creatures. It can strike swiftly from afar due to its long neck. Its head is vulnerable to damage, so caution on when to bite must be taken if the prey is capable of fighting back. In the absence of more threatening targets, the primary attack will auto-target nearby fish and allow the Elasmosaurus to effortlessly grab them out of the ocean for consumption.

The Elasmosaurus' secondary attack is a grab. It is capable of grabbing smaller creatures right off the shoreline and dragging them down into the water. For particularly small prey such as velociraptors, the Elasmosaurus can consume them whole by executing its secondary attack once again while the prey is in its jaws. If the creature is relatively large such as a Pachycephalosaurus or a Utahraptor, it will thrash just as the Mosasaurus does. Food is granted upon consumption of prey whole.

Abilties: The Elasmosaurus can highlight fish to make easier for consumtion. It also has an automatic aiming system, so it will almost always strike its opponents when they are within a certain radius of it.

Other Facts: While the weakest of the three aquatics currently in game, the Elasmosaurus makes up for this weakness in its resourcefulness. Able to catch and eat fish which larger aquatics would be too large and clumsy to catch, the Elasmosaurus is more adept at hunting such prey. It can also grab and drag smaller animals into the water, feeding on their carcasses. <br>
<br>
Elasmosaurus is also able to put points into the talent tree to acquire the ability to become invisible. It does not start out with this ability, but is a part of the game that encourages you to invest in talent points.<br>

The Elasmosaurus has fantastic weather resistance, allowing it to completely ignore the negative effects of storms.

However, Elasmosaurus is rather fragile, having relatively low HP for its size.

The relationship between Mosasaurus and Elasmosaurus was one of particular focus. The Elasmosaurus is capable of biting the Mosasaurus while residing safely outside range of the Mosasaurus' grab attack. It is also immune to grabbing on its head and neck, and must be grabbed by the torso. The Elasmosaurus is faster than the Mosasaurus and has more stamina. Two or more Elasmosaurus are a threat to a Mosasaurus typically.

Category: Herbivore<br>
Diet: Plants<br>

The Apatosaurus is the largest animal in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a herbivore, surviving solely off the consumption of plants to satiate its hunger. It has the biggest belly of any animal in the game, being able to survive well over an hour without eating if it needs to. This big belly, however, is also difficult to fill, and requires consumption of significant amounts of foliage. The Apatosaurus is the most difficult creature to become overweight. It can also survive significant amounts of time without water, but when it does drink, it will very rapidly deplete any lake it is drinking from, thus the Apatosaurus can be a very effective animal for deliberately beaching any aquatic creatures taking an ambush position in a lake. It's size stat is also tremendously large, and it has the highest HP, but it is also the slowest animal in the game. It is the only animal in the game to possess the ability to destroy and consume class 5 foliage such as large trees.

The Apatosaurus' primary attack is a stomp. It rears up onto its hind legs momentarily, and then stomps with its front limbs. If anything is nearby, it will take a very heavy amount of damage. The only creature capable of surviving this stomp is another Apatosaurus. This attack, however, also can make you vulnerable as movement is not allowed during the stomp attack.

The Apatosaurus also has a much more potent secondary attack, which is its tail whip attack. This attack should be the primary means of defense for the Apatosaurus. The execution of this attack is a bit different than others, as the attack is actually initiated when the Secondary Attack Keybind (Default is Right Mousebutton) is released, rather than when it is pressed. While the button is held, the Apatosaurus' tail will aim in the direction of the player's camera. When released, the tail will crack like a whip, dealing lots of damage and applying knockback. Implementation of this mechanic was not an easy task, and a development blog on the topic was written here.

Unique Abilties: The Apatosaurus possesses the highest weather resistance of any terrestrial creature. It is also capable of granting some of its weather resistance to nearby herd members, an ability unique to it.The Apatosaurus is also capable of walking backwards, an ability granted solely to it such that it can utilize knockback on its hind legs to avoid a blindspot here where the tail cannot reach. In order to walk backwards, a player must press and hold the crouch keybind. This will knockback anything against the hind legs of the Apatosaurus, often into range of its deadly tail.

Other facts: Being a very large creature, the Apatosaurus has little to fear at adult size. Most predators cannot take it on alone, and it is impervious to all but the strongest storms. Indeed, a healthy adult Apatosaurus is a force to be reckoned with and has few predators.

The Apatosaurus is able to defend itself on all sides. It has a powerful stomp attack as well as a tail whip, both of which can prove deadly to even the largest of foes.

The Apatosaurus possesses profound knockback. If anything gets near its feet, they will be kicked quite far. The smaller the victim of its kick, the further it will be punted. The Velociraptor can be punted extremely far, often threatening it with significant fall damage.

Diet: Meat<br>

The Acrocanthosaurus is a large, playable carnivore in Beasts of Bermuda. It is one of the slowest carnivores in the game, only being faster than the semiaquatic Ichthyovenator's terrestrial movement speed. It, however, has the highest damage output and strongest bite of any carnivore currently in-game. It also has the highest health and size. The Acrocanthosaurus is a superb ambusher due to its high damage output. It is the carnivore most capable of hunting the huge Apatosaurus and the swift Parasaurolophus.

Its attacks are fairly straightforward, possessing both a forwards-aimed and a downwards-aimed bites as its primary and secondary attack.

Special Abilities: Acrocanthosaurus will be able to inflict terrible bleeding wounds on its opponents. Bleeding is a status effect that damages health, comfort and raises injury damage. This allows the Acrocanthosaurus to engage in persistence hunting, wearing its prey out over long distances while they succumb to blood loss. A skilled Acrocanthosaurus can fell even the largest of creatures, so long as they are not allowed to recuperate.

Other facts: The Acrocanthosaurus will be the second strongest carnivore in the EA release, after the Tyrannosaurus. It makes up for the lack of power to Tyrannosaurus with superior speed, meaning it is able to pursue a wider variety of prey over long distances.

The Acrocanthosaurus is capable of doing a small jump that costs significant stamina. It serves only purpose in allowing the Acrocanthosaurus to avoid getting stuck on small ledges or rocks in certain areas, granting little other utility.

The Acrocanthosaurus has a very mild amount of weather resistance, and must take refuge from intense weather.

It also has a fast metabolism, and must eat regularly to avoid starvation.

The Velociraptor is the smallest creature that can be selected for play in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a carnivore, and must eat meat in order to survive. Though it does not have the piscivorous trait, some players have been able to sustain themselves eating fish as the Velociraptor due to its relatively high swimming speed.

It has a very low weight, and grants very little food to large predators. It also, however, consumes very little of a carcass when eating, and works very well as a scavenger. It has a high metabolism, and must eat regularly in order to survive.

The Velociraptor has the highest stamina pool of any creature, possessing 150. This allows it to run and jump a significant amount before tiring. It is also highly adept at jumping, allowing it to climb and reach high ledges and rocks.

The Velociraptor's primary attack is an ordinary bite. It deals light damage, and must bite larger foes a significant amount of times in order to land a kill.

The Velociraptor's secondary attack is a pounce, which is capable of latching onto large prey. A pack of Velociraptor can down large opponents such as the Acrocanthosaurus quite efficiently.

Unique Abilities: The Velociraptor has several unique abilities. It is able to pounce nearly all of the creatures in the game. The Velociraptor is also the only creature in Beasts of Bermuda capable of grabbing onto ledges, cliffs, walls, and some trees. In order to successfully grab a ledge, a player must beholding down the use keybind while approaching a grabbable surface and while in the air. Finally, it is able to enter Oryctodromeus burrows, even as an adult.

Other Facts: The Velociraptor was the first dinosaur to be added to Beasts of Bermuda. It is the main predator of Oryctodromeus. Being able to enter its burrows, there is almost no escape for these little herbivores. A pack of Velociraptors is a deadly force of nature, and even a skilled lone velociraptor can take out large quarry.

The Velociraptor has no weather resistance, and must take shelter from storms in order to survive.

Diet: Meat<br>

The Utahraptor is a very large member of Dromaeosauridae, and is a playable creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a rather slow predator, being only a little faster than the Acrocanthosaurus. It has a rather low health pool and weight, given it isn't very large in comparison to many other theropods such as Acrocanthosaurus and Megalosaurus. The creature, however, has a very significantly enlarged ability power pool, having been granted 150 rather than the typical 100. It also has an enlarged stamina pool, 120 rather than the rather standard 100. It has a high metabolism, and must eat frequently to thwart off starvation just as the Velociraptor must.

The Utahraptor's primary attack is an attack that uses its jaw and claws to slash and bite at its prey. It deals moderate damage to prey of any size, and can use this attack quickly and in rapid succession many times before exhausting its large pool of ability power.

The Utahraptor has a pounce that behaves very differently than that of the Velociraptor for its secondary attack. This pounce is only capable of latching onto the Apatosaurus, but serves a much more significant primary purpose. The Utahraptor can pounce while moving and does not need to coil to charge up its leap. It does so instantaneously. The angle of launch, however, is mostly fixed at 25 degrees, only moving to a modest 32 degrees if the player aims the camera upwards. The key role of the Utahraptor pounce is combat mobility, allowing it to leap into the fray or away from danger on a moment's notice. This differs starkly from the Velociraptor's pounce, which is used primarily to leap onto unsuspecting prey. This pounce consumes moderate amounts of stamina, so spamming it is often a poor idea. While latched onto an Apatosaurus, the Utahraptor loses ability power over time. Given its large ability power pool, it can stay latched to an Apatosaurus for a significant period of time. It is also capable of latching onto beached Mosasaurs.

Unique Abilities: The Utahraptor retains all the lethality of its smaller relatives in a much bigger package. Fast, agile and huge, a coordinated pack can bring down even the largest of creatures. Their powerful legs and huge, sickle-like claws can be used to cling on to the side of prey and inflict devastating wounds. Utahraptor however do not like getting their feathers wet, and must take shelter during bad weather.

Other Facts: The Utahraptor has no weather resistance, and must take shelter from storms in order to survive.

The Utahraptor has a decently high jump, being able to climb up into areas most larger terrestrial creatures cannot reach.

The Life Cycle Game Mode
Life cycle is one of the three (current) in-game gamemodes, alongside freeroam and combat. However, it has unique features that set it apart from the other two.

The Basics
Like any other gamemode, life cycle requires one to keep their selected playable creature alive by maintaining an appropriate level of hunger, thirst, and comfort. Perhaps oxygen level as well, if one selects a completely aquatic creature.
However, unlike combat and freeroam, where a player is granted a fully grown creature right off the bat, in life cycle you are spawned as a playable at 0.4 growth. The goal, if possible, is to grow to full size, or perhaps even larger.

Growth
While every creature within the life cycle gamemode spawns at a growth of 0.4, every creature has a different growth rate. Growth rate refers to how long it takes a certain creature to gain a tick of growth. Smaller creatures gain growth faster than larger creatures (for example, a Velociraptor will grow larger faster than a Mosasaurus would.) However, the rate of growth can be improved by keeping one's stats such as comfort at a high level. Having pack/herdmates can help to keep comfort high at all times; consuming a large amount of healthy herbs (comfort flowers, crystals, sponges) will increase one's comfort bias and allow comfort to be maintained at a higher level as well.

On some maps, there are specific areas where one can go to get a boost to growth no matter their status levels. The area may take the form of a small island or temple. The buffs are 25%, 50%, and 75%, increasing in intensity as one gets closer to the center of the growth increase radius. One will receive a status message in blue on their screen when they have entered or left a growth increase radius.

Growth is infinite. One can grow as big as they would like, provided they are able to survive. Growth significantly slows once any creature reaches their full size at 1.0. However, while growth is different for every creature, it slows down to the same rate for any animal once said animal reaches 1.2 growth (for example, a Velociraptor at 1.2 growth will grow at the same rate as a 1.2 Mosasaurus.) The larger one grows, the more resources (such as food) they will require to survive. Eventually, one may find oneself at a point where they cannot sustain their huge animal any longer.

Talents
Like all other current gamemodes, life cycle has a talent system. At first, the player starts out with 5 talent points that can be applied to any accessible talent on any tree (survival in blue, power in red, speed in green.) As with any other gamemode, a talent must be fully unlocked (3 out of 3 points invested) in order to progress to the next "tier" higher.<br>

Additional talent points can be gained by surviving. When any creature advances 0.04 growth, they gain a talent point. This remains constant as long as a creature is alive. At 1.0, one is expected to have around 20 talent points in total (invested or not.) One can gain more by growing past 1.0.

The Pteranodon is currently the only flying creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It possesses the ability to fly. Its flight mechanics were inspired by the Primal Carnage Pteranodon, given this game's Pteranodon is highly regarded among many experienced players as being well-suited for combat. It was designed this way deliberately, over a more realistic flight system.

Its attacks are currently very straightforward, possessing both a forwards-aimed and a downwards-aimed peck as its primary and secondary attack. Unique to it, however, its attack damage is not constant. The faster the Pteranodon is flying, the more damage it will deal with its attacks. This is to reward more adept players who are capable of controlling the creature at faster flight speeds.

Unique Abilities: The Pteranodon is so far the only flier added to the game. This allows it to easily travel from island to island without having to worry about the trecherous water below.

Other Facts: The Pteranodon is an avid fisher. While it cannot swim, it is able to dive into the water at high speeds to reach fish just below the surface. In addition, Pteranodon can swoop down on larger carnivores, harassing them until they give up their food. The Pteranodon has therefore mastered land, air, and sea.

If the Pteranodon is struck during flight by a tree, rock, hillside, or by any terrestrial animal, it will be knocked out of the sky and into a crash. As a Pteranodon, being bitten or grabbed out of the sky by an agitated predator will usually be your death. Fly carefully.

The Pteranodon is frail, and will receive injury damage from any source. It also receives significant amounts of injury if it lands poorly or crashes. Injury damage will cause a poorer flight performance on the Pteranodon, as well as on other, future flyers. Accumulation of injury will both reduce the effectiveness of your sprint as well as pull down your nose. A Pteranodon who suffers a particularly hard crash may not be able to fly again for several minutes. They offer very easy prey for smaller creatures such as the Velociraptor when injured in this way.

The Pteranodon is very susceptible to weather due to its very poor weather resistance stat. Due to this, it must take refuge from even mild storms or invest in talents that negate comfort damage taken from storms.

The Pachycephalosaurus is a playable creature in beasts of Bermuda. It is a herbivore, requiring only to eat plants around the map to fill its food. It is terrestrial, and does not fare well in deep saltwater.

Its primary attack is fairly standard. It is a small head ram, which inflicts moderate damage. It also applies knockback when it hits with this attack, which is unique to the Pachycephalosaurus. The Pachycephalosaurus is a bruiser, allowing it to inflict significantly more injury damage than others. It also can inflict injury damage regardless of where it hits. This allows its primary attack to inflict injury damage of significant degree, especially to smaller creatures such as the Utahraptor.

Its secondary attack is a charge, which must be initiated while the Pachycephalosaurus is sprinting at full speed. When the secondary attack key (defaults to Right Mouse Button) is held down, the Pachycephalosaurus will begin charging. When charging, it instantly gets a speed boost but has a very poor turn radius. The longer it charges, the faster it goes. Charging rapidly drains ability power, but consumes no additional stamina beyond what would normally be consumed by sprinting. The faster the Pachycephalosaurus is going when it strikes its target, the more damage, injury, and knockback it will apply. A particularly long and fast charge can almost put a Velociraptor into orbit! The Pachycephalosaurus will stop charging if it runs out of ability power or stamina.

Unique Ability: The Pachycephalosaurus gains momentum while charging, allowing it to knock back and injure competitors or would-be attackers
Attack: Kronosaurus is able to bite using the left-click button on your mouse. This attack does moderate damage on average, changing depending on which dinosaur it's biting. (If it bit an Apatosaurus, it would do less damage than if it were to bite a Parasauraulophus.)

Other Facts: An apex predator of the Bermuda seas, the Kronosaurus is an ambush hunter.

Species: I. laosensis<br>
Time Period: Cretaceous<br>
Length: 8.5 meters (27 feet)<br>
Weight: 2 tonnes (2.2 short tons)<br>
Category: Carnivore<br>

<br>
<br>

*Overweight creatures deplete stamina more rapidly.
*Overweight creatures move slower.
*Overweight creatures lose a slight amount of comfort.
*Overweight creatures heal faster.
*While being overweight does not grant more points than being in a state of perfect fullness, it does guarantee a player will remain at full food value for the duration of overweightness, thus ensuring a player will be awarded maximum points during this entire duration.
*Overweight creatures knockback other creatures with more force than their normal weight counterparts.
*Overweight creatures receive less knockback force than their normal weight counterparts.

Species: A. ajax<br>
Time Period: Jurassic<br>
Length: 22.8 meters (75 feet)<br>
Weight: 22 tonnes (24.7 short tons)<br>

Hurricane:

Comfort is a major survival resource in Beasts of Bermuda. In the UI, it is represented by the color of the silhouette of the creature you are playing as, in the bottom-right corner. Red represents severe discomfort. Blue represents having very high comfort. It ranges in-between through oranges and yellows. By default, a player's comfort will be 50% full, and this residing point can only semi-permanently be shifted by the influence of comfort bias. Comfort has a tremendous influence on the health of the creature a player is playing. It has many benefits, and a lack thereof has many drawbacks.

* Comfort influences the rate at which a player heals. High comfort will provide a significant boost towards healing rate, whereas low comfort will cause the player's health to decay. It is possible to die from lack of comfort, justified as extreme stress.
* Comfort influences the rate at which a player accumulates points. High comfort can significantly increase the rate at which these points accumulate. While this score is currently just for bragging rights, future development will likely yield cosmetic rewards and achievements for high scoring players.
* Comfort influences the rate at which a player's stamina regenerates. High comfort provides a mild boost to stamina gain, and low comfort will slightly hinder stamina gain.
* Comfort influences the rate at which a player's ability power regenerates. High comfort provides a mild boost to ability power gain, and low comfort will slightly hinder ability power gain.
* A creature high in comfort will recover from injuries more swiftly than a stressed, uncomfortable creature.
* Extraordinarily comfortable creatures may receive special perks in the future.

Sources of Comfort Gain
* Proximity to other friendly players will increase your comfort. Being closer together will increase comfort more than being spread apart.
** As a carnivore, you can only gain comfort for being in close proximity to your own kind.
** As a herbivore, you can gain comfort for being in close proximity to any other herbivore. Certain creatures will grant more comfort to you than others. Most notably, the Apatosaurus grants significant comfort to its herd members.
** Formation of friendships with other players will significantly increase the comfort bonus one gets from being in close proximity to the other player.
* Comfort granting plants will yield positive comfort over a duration of time, called comfort bias. These plants provide a long-term comfort bonus. The bonus slowly decays over a long period of time, so these flowers are a very beneficial way to increase comfort.
* There may be other mysterious ways to add to a player's comfort as well.

Sources of Comfort Loss
* Just as being close to friendly players grants comfort, being close to hostile players will lower comfort. Just as a creature in a real-world scenario may find stress in being in close presence with its predator, so do creatures in Beasts of Bermuda.
** As a carnivore, being in close in proximity to any creature not of your own kind will decrease comfort. Larger creatures sharply reduce comfort, whereas smaller ones provide more meager comfort loss.
** As a herbivore, being in close proximity to any carnivore will decrease comfort. Larger creatures sharply reduce comfort, whereas smaller ones provide meager comfort loss.
*Stormy weather will reduce comfort, sometimes significantly. Weather resistance can aid in mitigating the negative effects storms have on comfort. Being overweight also mitigates comfort loss from stormy weather. Taking shelter in caves and temples will allow a player to take refuge from the negative comfort effects of stormy weather.
*Deep saltwater will sharply reduce comfort if you are playing as a terrestrial creature. Thalassophobia is strong in Beasts of Bermuda, for good reason.
* Just as terrestrial creatures lose comfort sharply while in deep saltwater, aquatic creatures sharply lose comfort while on land, in a beached state.
* Creatures without the piscivorous trait will lose comfort bias when consuming fish.

Sources of comfort gain or loss gradually influence comfort to rise or fall, exponentially approaching a steady-state value that is the sum of all positive and negative comfort sources. For example, let's say the player's comfort is being influenced by the following nearby environmental factors:

There is a gentle rainstorm, reducing the player's comfort by -15.
There is a nearby herd member, increasing the player's comfort by 20.
The player has recently consumed enough comfort flowers to increase their comfort bias by 7.

The player's comfort will, over time, approach the value 50-15+20+7=62. The closer to 62 this player's comfort gets, the slower it will continue to approach 62. If external factors that influence comfort change, the player's comfort will approach and drift towards a new steady-state value.

Comfort will much more rapidly decay than increase. The presence of a negative stressor will sharply and quickly reduce comfort, whereas the presence of beneficial sources of comfort gain will slowly bring comfort back up to a higher value. One way players can more rapidly increase comfort lost from negative stressors such as a swim across the Ocean is to sit or rest.

Comfort is capped between 0 and 100.

Hurricane: /* When will Beasts of Bermuda be released? */

What is Beasts of Bermuda?
Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer game hosting large servers in which the player becomes a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. The player becomes part of a living, player-created ecosystem. The ultimate objective is to survive on one of the islands within Bermuda, an enigmatic island chain constantly threatened by fierce storms and haunted by ancient beasts. Hunger, thirst, stress, and predation constantly threaten your survival.

What is the Objective of Beasts of Bermuda?
Currently our game only has one mode of play, Free Roam. In this mode, the player can select any creature to play as without cost or punishment for death. In this mode, the objective is what you make of it. There are many different objectives players frequently take on, be it achieving a high score, taking down others in combat, exploring the map, or herding up and socializing. This mode offers a relaxed atmosphere in which the player can do as they wish. We've been discussing additional game modes due to interest and feedback among our community, and we have a few ideas we would like to implement.

* Life-cycle based leveling in which the player starts as a juvenile of any species they wish and continues to grow, becoming more powerful over time in a multiplayer environment. This mode would likely be coupled with a talent or skillpoint-based system, in which the player becomes more powerful in ways they can choose.

* Merit-based system in which the player earns the right to play increasingly powerful creatures by earning survival points. Well-fed, hydrated, and comfortable creatures gain survival points much more rapidly in such a system.

* Combat-based system in which a player must successfully hunt and kill other players in order to gain the right to play larger and more powerful creatures. Here, risk vs reward will very much be a factor as the larger the foe you down, the more reward you will gain.

Regardless of the selected mode of play, many different challenges are always present on the islands of Bermuda that threaten survival. One must find food in order to survive. Different animals the player can choose from have different means of obtaining food. Some are carnivores, needing to hunt and eat other players to survive. Other creatures are herbivores, and thus have a more peaceful means of eating. Piscivores are a mix, being capable of eating other players, or eating fish for survival.

Thirst is another element of survival in Beasts of Bermuda. A need as simple as visiting lakes can become very difficult under certain conditions. Lakes can be drunk dry. Due to depleting water sources and competition, the hunt for water may not be easy during certain times. While not currently in-game, droughts are planned.

Storms are a major threat to survival. These events are much more than just graphics, as rain, wind, lightning, and surging seas can turn an island paradise into chaos.

Where is Beasts of Bermuda in its development?
Beasts of Bermuda began development on January 16th, 2017. Currently, the game offers a fully functional game world with many combat mechanics and map-based survival elements already in place. Make no mistake, our game is still pre-release and is still very much under development. Future development will likely focus on expanding our playable creature roster, improving the quality of our graphics, models, and general assets, and then implementing additional game modes beyond Free Roam.

What creatures are planned to be playable?
Currently, one can play as the following creatures in Beasts of Bermuda:

* Acrocanthosaurus
* Apatosaurus
* Elasmosaurus
* Ichthyovenator
* Kronosaurus
* Lurdusaurus
* Megalosaurus
* Mosasaurus
* Oryctodromeus
* Pachycephalosaurus
* Parasaurolophus
* Pteranodon
* Saichania
* Tyannosaurus rex
* Utahraptor
* Velociraptor

It is likely the following creatures will be playable due to our interest in expanding the niches available to players in Beasts of Bermuda. Many of these animals are selected due to their unique niches or ability to utilize certain gameplay mechanics. Many are piscivores, aquatics, flying creatures, or semiaquatic animals.

Carnivores:<br>
Tapejara<br>
(One of) Hatzegopteryx, Quetzalcoatlus<br>

Discussed creatures are animals that have been discussed to be added, but have not been confirmed and are less likely to be added. The developers hope to had at least two creatures of every type to the game. With the proper resources, some of these creatures may be added.

Where the words (one of) appear, only one creature of that group will be added.

The list of discussed creatures is as follows:
Ikrandraco

What is unique about Beasts of Bermuda?
Beasts of Bermuda offers the experience of playing in unique niches as aquatic, flight-based, or terrestrial creatures. Piscivores offer a different lifestyle to traditional carnivores, the creatures of which are often very adept at swimming, even if also quite capable on land.

It also offers unique map elements. Whether you're exploring a cave while taking shelter from a storm, watching the tide drop to safely cross to a new island, or migrating to avoid a forest fire or depleted watering hole, the map is always changing and the world is alive.

The playable creatures in Beasts of Bermuda all have unique abilities that differentiate them from others. Some can grab, others can pounce and latch. Some can sense a weak opponent or warn a herd of a lurking predator, and others can climb to escape danger. Every animal is different in Beasts of Bermuda, very much so, and a lot of effort has been put in to ensure every creature added fulfills a unique niche.

A unique resource in the form of comfort offers a totally new way to design mechanics and shape gameplay. Carnivores in close proximity to herbivores will stress each other out, resulting in various gameplay disadvantages or even death should the stress become extreme. Carnivores are only comforted by their own kind, becoming stressed in the prolonged presence of different species. Map elements, in particular storms and massive storm surges, will also cause stress. Maintaining a low level of stress (we call it comfort) is a major aspect of survival in Beasts of Bermuda.

Beast of Bermuda also give players the ability to customize themselves, be it through skins or the talent mechanic, it'll be hard to get two dinos exactly alike.

Why does Beasts of Bermuda need Donations?
Beasts of Bermuda needs funds to commission and contract professionals for services related to modeling, animating, sound creation, skin design, level design, and just overall improvements. Up to this point, the game has been created by Predatoria and Vipe, two indie developers focused on the coding behind the game, with freelance contribution from several contributors. Most of our current models are from asset stores and we want to replace them goal with professional models. To bring our game to the next level of quality, we need to network with professionals in all departments of game design rather than just indefinitely coding more mechanics into the game, which requires funding neither of us can afford to do.

Want to help donate? Here's the link to the GoFundMe:

Will Beasts of Bermuda have singleplayer support, or will it strictly be a multiplayer game?
Beasts of Bermuda is being created as a multiplayer game. If a player wishes to do so, they can host a server and play alone, but multiplayer play is strongly encouraged.

What platforms will Beasts of Bermuda be available on?
Currently, Beasts of Bermuda only has Windows support as adding support for other operating systems is low on our priority list. In the future, MAC and Linux support will be added as well. Steam will be our method of distribution. Beasts of Bermuda is a PC game and will not function on consoles.

When will Beasts of Bermuda be released?
Beasts of Bermuda will most likely be released into EA (Early Access) in Late 2018 / Early 2019.

Will there be Steam achievements?
Yes! I absolutely plan for achievements to be part of the game!

How much will Beasts of Bermuda Cost?
Beasts of Bermuda will very likely cost $20.00 and will be purchased on Steam.

How can I keep up with Beasts of Bermuda's development?
The best way to keep up with development is to join our Discord, as sometimes I get lazy and don't update the website regularly. Currently, most activity takes place here including links to our most recent test builds and patch notes.
Follow our progress here: https://discord.gg/PQ5fPNn

We're are also on steam now! Go check us out and if you are interested in the game don't forget to add it to your wishlist to be notified on EA release.

Can I play Beasts of Bermuda?
Beasts of Bermuda is in its closed testing phase, if you wish to play the game, wait for it to release on steam! We're hoping to get there around December, 2018, or early 2019.

* Acrocanthosaurus
* Apatosaurus
* Elasmosaurus
* Ichthyovenator
* Kronosaurus
* Lurdusaurus
* Megalosaurus
* Mosasaurus
* Oryctodromeus
* Pachycephalosaurus
* Parasaurolophus
* Pteranodon
* Saichania
* Tyannosaurus rex
* Utahraptor
* Velociraptor

Late 2018 / Early 2019

Will there be Steam achievements?
Yes! I absolutely plan for achievements to be part of the game!

How much will Beasts of Bermuda Cost?
Beasts of Bermuda will very likely cost $20.00 and will be purchased on Steam.

How can I keep up with Beasts of Bermuda's development?
The best way to keep up with development is to join our Discord, as sometimes I get lazy and don't update the website regularly. Currently, most activity takes place here including links to our most recent test builds and patch notes.

Species: A. atokensis<br>
Time Period: Cretaceous<br>
Length: 11.5 meters (38 feet)<br>
Weight: 6.2 tonnes (6.8 short tons)<br>
Category: Carnivore<br>

Hurricane: /* What is the Objective of Beasts of Bermuda?

* Acrocanthosaurus
* Apatosaurus
* Elasmosaurus
* Ichthyovenator
* Kronosaurus
* Lurdusaurus
* Megalosaurus
* Mosasaurus
* Oryctodromeus
* Pachycephalosaurus
* Parasaurolophus
* Pteranodon
* Saichania
* Tyannosaurus rex
* Utahraptor
* Velociraptor

Carnivores:
Carnotaurus
(One of) Sarcosuchus, Deinosuchus, Purussaurus (SA)
Nothosaurus (SA)
Yangchuanosaurus
Zupaysaurus

(One of) Polocanthus, Sauropelta, Edmontonia, Gastonia, Borealopelta, Antarctopelta
Triceratops
Stegosaurus
Gallimimus/other ornithomimid
(One of) Therizinosaurus, Deinocheirus

Contectopalatus or other ‘small’ Ichthyosaur
Dunkleosteus
Temnodontosaurus
Shastasaurus/Shonisaurus

Fliers:
Tapejara
(One of) Hatzegopteryx, Quetzalcoatlus

Discussed creatures are animals that have been discussed to be added, but have not been confirmed and are less likely to be added. The developers hope to had at least two creatures of every type to the game. With the proper resources, some of these creatures may be added.

Where the words (one of) appear, only one creature of that group will be added.

The list of discussed creatures is as follows:

Carnivores:
Alioramus
Cryolophosaurus
Gorgosaurus/Albertosaurus
Masiakasaurus (Possible SA)
Majungasaurus and/or Ceratosaurus
Spinosaurus (SA)
Yutyrannus

Hybodus
Hyneria (Limited SA)
Megalodon

Fliers:
Dimorphodon
