}}
Overview
Tropeognathus is a large pterosaur, specializing in defensive play. A creature with an 8-meter-long wingspan, it almost seems as if such a monster should hardly be able to get airborne. It grows at the speed of a Megalosaurus, and with several unique mechanics to assert its dominance, Tropeognathus is sure to be a rival to any lightning-quick Pteranodon that may try to challenge it! Despite the imposing stature, its diet consists mainly of fish.

Tropeognathus Mechanics
Wing Beat
*To use Wing Beat, press the ability key while facing another player (it can’t hit behind you)
*It can be used while in flight, or while on the ground.
*If it hits another player, both you and them will be knocked back. It deals significant injury and moderate damage to the hit player.
*Just like Spiky Shield, successive uses of Wing Beat now get 35% more expensive until its DR wears off, after 30 seconds. This will also reduce the damage and knockback.
*It is improved by the Deadly Wings talent.

Master of the Skies
*Baseline weather resistance is equivalent to 3/3
*Doesn't grant immunity to lightning strikes

Unique Talents
Strong Bond
*This talent is only in the Tropeognathus tree, as a survival Tier 3 talent.
*While grouped and close to your mate, you and your mate both receive a large boost to your max HP, Stamina, and Ability
*If both the mated Tropeognathus have the talent, it stacks additively between the two
*It increases with the (in-game) friendship level between you

Deadly Wings
*This talent is only in the Tropeognathus tree, on the bridge between the Power and Survival trees.
* This talent improves how much damage and injury Wing Beat inflicts.

Swift Wings
*This talent is only in the Tropeognathus tree, on the bridge between Mobility and Survival.
*This talent reduces the cooldown, ability, and stamina cost of using Wing Beat.

Tips
*It costs stamina to take off from the water, so make sure you have enough! This can be made less costly with the Quick Takeoff Talent.
*You can grab creatures and items of fairly large size when flying- use this to your advantage! *You’re better at this than ptera, so you can grab smaller pterosaurs out of the sky if they’re of the right size.
*If a Pteranodon attacks, you don’t need to chase them, let them come to you. If a flock descends on you however, then you might have an issue!
*You turn pretty slowly in the air. Be sure to always angle yourself towards incoming Pteranodon to use Wing Beat.
*It takes a little while to begin diving, bear this in mind when trying to evade.
*Make sure not to let Pteranodons come behind you they can bite and slowly kill you!

Trivia
*Tropeognathus was originally going to be 150% as big, with a 12 meter wingspan!
*The Strong Bond talent was inspired by mated albatross pairs.
*Tropeognathus was going to be able to carry two creatures at once, but the idea was scrapped.

Exclusive Skins are unique skins that were obtainable by the player through special means. Only a limited number of Exclusive Skins are given out to particular players, such as developers and pre-release donators.

Players who do not own Exclusive Skins can still acquire one through nesting if one or both of their dinosaur’s parents have them. If one parent has the skin, the offspring has a chance to inherit layers from the exclusive skin. If both parents have the skin, then it's a 100% chance to inherit aspects of the exclusive skin. The offspring cannot use the skin again if it dies.

At the moment, there are ten public Exclusive Skins:

* Glimmer Megalosaurus (Pre-release donor exclusive)
* Glimmer Mosasaurus (Pre-release donor exclusive)
* Glimmer Apatosaurus (Pre-release donor exclusive)
* Glimmer Acrocanthosaurus (Pre-release donor exclusive)
* Glimmer (Ravager) Tyrannosaurus (Pre-release donor exclusive)

* Phantom Shimmer Pteranodon (Event contest prize)
* Magma Shimmer Saichania (Event participant reward)
* Firefly Shimmer Ichthyovenator (Event participant reward)
* Boa Shimmer Oryctodromeus (Event participant reward)
* Phoenix Shimmer Tropeognathus (Event participant reward)

* Sacred Megalosaurus (Mystery obtainable)

Note: "Glimmer" denotes a donor skin, while "Shimmer" denotes an event prize skin.

Donor-exclusive Skins
"Glimmer" skins are aptly named after their ability to glow in the dark. Glimmers are no longer obtainable (you had to donate enough back BEFORE the game was released on Steam in order to actually own the skins), and at this time can only be temporarily acquired through being nested by someone who's using the skin.

* The Glimmer Megalosaurus skin is only available for players who donated for the Mighty Megalosaurus rank, which was $70. It is no longer purchasable.

* The Glimmer Acrocanthosaurus skin is only available for players who donated for the Accredited Acrocanthosaurus rank, which was $120. It is no longer purchasable.

* The Glimmer Mosasaurus skin is only available for players who donated for the Menacing Mosasaurus rank, which was $600. It is no longer purchasable.

* The Glimmer Tyrannosaurus rex skin is only available for players who donated for the Terrifying Tyrannosaurus rank, which was $1000. It is no longer purchasable.

* The Glimmer Apatosaurus skin is only available for players who donated for the Amazing Apatosaurus rank, which was $2,800. Players who donated for the Amazing Apatosaurus rank not only received the Glimmer Apatosaurus skin, but could request for a creature of their choice to be added to the game. At the moment, this rank cannot still be purchased, but this may change once the game has entered a more finished state!
Event-exclusive Skins
"Shimmer" skins are also named after their ability to glow in the dark.

The Phantom Shimmer Pteranodon skin was only available as an event prize for players who participated and won in the Pteranodon Video Contest which ran from May 30th 2019 to June 30th 2019. This makes it the first glowing skin to not be part of a donated rank. Originally, this skin was also named Glimmer, and had a non-glowing variant, though this was scrapped, and it was renamed later to label the difference between event skins, and donator exclusive skins.

The Magma Shimmer Saichania skin was only available as the event reward for the participants of the Saichania Video Event which ran from December 31st 2019 to January 31st 2020.

The Firefly Shimmer Ichthyovenator skin was only available as the event reward for the participants of the Ichthyovenator Video Event, which ran from June 25th 2020 to July 25th 2020.

The Boa Shimmer Oryctodromeus skin was only available as the event reward for the participants of the Oryctodromeus Video Event, which ran from August 23rd 2020 to September 23rd 2020. Although, it has been mentioned that if any players have had to evacuate due to Hurricane Laura, they would need to make a claim in the Beasts of Bermuda discord. These players would be able to receive one additional month to build an entry, and send it in with the claimed Steam ID.

The Phoenix Shimmer Tropeognathus skin was only available as an event prize for players who participated and won in the Tropeognathus Video Contest which ran from Feburary 21st 2021 to March 21st 2021.

Mystery Obtainables
Mystery obtainables are public exclusive skins that no one (aside from developers) knows how to obtain.

The only mystery obtainable in the game is the Sacred Megalosaurus. The Sacred Megalosaurus can be described as having markings akin to armor-like plating with a metallic sheen, and is also covered in many glowing runes.
Sacred Megalosaurus has many nicknames, and due to the skin mixing update only passing down certain aspects of skins, many players have assumed that "Armored" and "Rune" Megalosaurus are different skins. However, in reality, they're just different pieces of the same Sacred skin.

Upcoming Exclusive Skins
In the future, it is fairly likely that other creatures will get Shimmer skins if they do not have one (excluding the creatures who have Glimmer skins, which have been previously mentioned as unlikely to get a Shimmer). Similarly to the Video Contests, future community events may give them out - so if you wish to obtain one, stay sharp!
