Overview
The Velociraptor is a playable carnivore in Beasts of Bermuda. It's one of the smallest playable creatures in the game, rivaled only by the Oryctodromeus.

The small stature of the Velociraptor gives it a plethora of advantages, such as squeezing through rocks, surviving immensely high falls, climbing trees, and most importantly, staying hidden. It can also jump at incredible heights: the highest of all creatures, and is even able to control the direction of its jump while in mid-air, allowing it to almost glide in the direction it chooses. Its high stamina pool most definitely compliments this feature. Such survivability allows it to explore a flexible range of different playstyles, be it a skittish scavenger, an egg thief, or a hunter of larger creatures.

Abilities
* Bite
** Default: LMB (Left Mouse Button)
** A high DPS bite that deals a small amount of damage.

* Pounce
** Default: RMB (Right Mouse Button)
** A chargeable jump that will send the Velociraptor leaping forward at great speeds, largely ignoring any carried weight. This ability is very stamina-expensive.

* Climb
** Default: E (Interact Button)
** By double-tapping E on a surface, the Velociraptor will attach to it and be given the option to climb upwards (W), slide downwards (S), move from side-to-side (A and D), and detach by pressing E again. This ability does not cost Ability Power or Stamina. Climbing surfaces while carrying food or objects is permitted.
** If the Velociraptor does not have at least 1 limb on the surface of which it's climbing, it will detach automatically and fall to the ground.
** There is currently a bug where sliding all the way to the bottom of a climbable surface might mesh the Velociraptor through the map. Exit climbing before touching the bottom to avoid this.

Survival Tips
* Velociraptor possesses a fairly weak bite at base, however, investing in the talent "Sharp Teeth" allows a great boost in damage toward larger creatures (everything, except Oryctodromeus).
** Against Velociraptors, consider investing in the talent "Thick Hide" to reduce the amount of damage you take from smaller creatures.

* Velociraptor excels at invading and raiding Oryctodromeus burrows. It can further bolster its burrow-raiding capabilities with the "Vigilance" talent, reducing the damage and comfort debuffs received when underground, as well as extending the vision range beyond the underground fog.

* Velociraptor has a wide range of playstyle options, including but not limited to:
** Nest Raider - Utilizing the "Egg Thief" and "Baby Snatcher" talents, the Velociraptor can easily prey upon other creatures' offspring.
** Scavenger - By solely eating carcasses, the Velociraptor rarely needs to hunt. It may even thieve off kills made by other carnivores.

* Thanks to Velociraptor's small size, it can find shelter from storms almost anywhere.

* Although it has a fairly fast metabolism, it can fill up on even the smallest carcasses.

Trivia
* There are plans to update the feathering on the Velociraptor's current model. This is not a top-priority change, though.
* The Velociraptor once had the ability to latch onto other creatures, but this was quickly removed due to bugs.
* Before the September 2020 (9/6/2020) QoL patch, Velociraptors were completely immune to fall damage after growth level 2.8.
* Along with Apatosaurus, Saichania, and Oryctodromeus, Velos are immune to injury damage.

Overview
The Tyrannosaurus is a playable carnivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is by far the strongest terrestrial carnivore in-game. With a bite attack that does over 450 damage, it can kill all but the largest creatures in just a few hits.

A single bite from the Tyrannosaurus inflicts a substantial amount of injury damage, instantly crippling the movement of its prey. This ensures that a single strike will prevent its victim from escaping. However, the Tyrannosaurus often finds itself outpaced, as its power is curtailed by its terrible stamina. This makes the Tyrannosaurus reliant on devastating ambushes, hiding among rocks, ledges, and foliage until prey passes by.

Once the Tyrannosaurus has learned how to ambush well, it becomes a predator of unimaginable power.

Pros and Cons
Pros:

- Absurd damage

- High health

- Deadly in numbers

- Fast walking and running speed

Cons:

- Terrible stamina (only enough to run for some 10-20 seconds)

- Loud

- Vulnerable when young, can be 4-shotted by Apatosaurus' tails

- Bad turning radius

- Fast hunger drain

- Leaves behind a fairly detectable trail of smell

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
*Special Ability: Titled "Devastating Ambush" – It's a very fast speed buff, that can be activated after 10 seconds of solid, nearly motionless crouching. — Once ready, an icon will appear as a status effect - press the Ability key once to trigger the Ability. Allowing the Tyrannosaurus 5 seconds of Increased speed as well as Freezing your stamina(but not your movement), stopping it from draining during the ability's active time. Devastating Ambush also has the exact same effect on walking speeds, however it's somewhat useless since the ability is more for running things down without getting exhausted, than for walking fast, for a short time.

*Primary Attack: A large bite. It deals absurd damage and inflicts substantial injury damage, but has a slow attack speed.

*Secondary Attack: Same as the Primary Attack, except it makes the Tyrannosaurus bite downwards instead of forwards.

Tips
*Unlocking combat talents is recommended to make your Tyrannosaurus even deadlier. Unlocking all combat talents will allow you to deal some +550 damage.

*The stomps of the Tyrannosaurus are very loud. Due to this, the Sneaky perk is high tier for the Tyrannosaurus, as it lets you walk silently and ambush prey.

*Hunger depletes fast so be careful. Always be looking for food.

*A well-grown Tyrannosaurus can do just fine hunting alone, though pack members are always a plus to have.

*Young Tyrannosaurus are often targeted by other players in fear that it may grow to become an unstoppable hunter.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
The great strength of the Tyrannosaurus only shines in its adult stage. A juvenile Tyrannosaurus will find itself slow and weak, and susceptible to being hunted. This is made worse by its loud footsteps and shallow stamina pool. Growing a Tyrannosaurus is a difficult challenge, and it will take patience and time.

Even when fully grown, however, the bad turning radius of a Tyrannosaurus can prove to be a hindrance. Enemy creatures will often aim for the tail and heels of the Tyrannosaurus, which are its blind-spots. Try mitigating this weakness by blocking your tail against a wall or standing in deep water.

Trivia
*The Tyrannosaurus used to have a feathered and scaly variant. Scaly variants has been removed at this time.
Overview
Megaraptor is a Mid-Tier carnivore that is faster than Megalosaurus aswell as more fragile. It is basically a glass-cannon and is fully intended to be so.

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
*Special Ability: Titled "Evasive Maneuver" – Allows you to leap backwards, away from danger. Additionally, once Evasive Maneuver begins, you are immune to all damage until you either touch the ground, or until 1.25 seconds have elapsed. Whichever happens first. Evasive Maneuver's jump distance can be controlled by how long the player holds down the Ability key. While holding the Ability key, a small charge bar will show above the player's head, indicating how far the player will jump when the key is release. After the key is released, the megaraptor will crouch for a fraction of a second and then leap back. You do not become invulnerable until the leaping portion of this ability begins.

*Primary Attack: A standard bite. It deals medium damage and inflicts little bleed damage.

*Secondary Attack: A Slash Attack, inflicting high bleed and moderate damage, while having an very high DPS (Damage per Second). Press-and-hold attack where it continuously swipes with its claws and consuming ability power while the key is held. You cannot sprint while using Slash Attack. Additionally, while using Slash Attack, you walk a little bit slower. Slash Attack can be held indefinitely until the player runs out of ability power. Slash Attack stops immediately when the Secondary Attack key is released.

Tips
*A pack is a necessary when playing as Megaraptor, the more the better.

*Skilling it's unique Evasive Maneuver talent should be a must as it highly increases the jumping distance and decreases how fast you have to charge it.

*Speed and Combat Tree are recommended, as a 3/3 Swiftness Megalosaurus can still outrun a normal Megaraptor.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
Creatures who deal injury should be avoided unless skillful, as a limping Megaraptor is easy prey for even the unless harmless of creatures. Also Megaraptor seems very vulnerable to stress so big herds should be avoided.

Additional Notes
* Alongside the Megalosaurus, Megaraptor is one of the fastest-swimming non-aquatic playable creatures, becoming a fairly competent swimmer when the aqua affinity, strong lungs and resilience talents are maxed out. Due to this, it can be an excellent dinosaur for island hopping, though it is especially vulnerable to aquatic predators if used in such a way.
