Overview
The Tyrannosaurus is a playable carnivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is by far the strongest terrestrial carnivore in-game. With a bite attack that does 450 damage, it can kill all but the largest creatures in just a few hits.

A single bite from the Tyrannosaurus inflicts a substantial amount of injury damage, instantly crippling the movement of its prey. This ensures that a single strike will prevent its victim from escaping. However, the Tyrannosaurus often finds itself outpaced, as its power is curtailed by its terrible stamina. This makes the Tyrannosaurus reliant on ambushes, hiding among rocks, ledges, and foliage until prey passes by.

Once the Tyrannosaurus has learned how to ambush well, it becomes a predator of unimaginable power.

Rex was actually a scavenger, only killing prey when they needed to. Rexes have also been discovered to have a little "fluff" as babies. T.rex may be big, but its predecessors were small. The first tyrannosaurs, which were human- to horse-size, originated about 170 million years ago during the mid-Jurassic. Rexes back then were scarce, until rexes moved slowly up the food chain.

That's where we have T.Rex, one of the biggest tyrannosaurids to walk the earth.

Pros and Cons
Pros:

- Absurd damage

- High health

- Deadly in numbers

- Fast walking and running speed

Cons:

- Terrible stamina (only enough to run for some 10-20 seconds)

- Loud

- Vulnerable when young

- Bad turning radius

- Fast hunger drain

- Leaves behind a fairly detectable trail of smell

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
The Tyrannosaurus has no special abilities, but it makes up for this due to the sheer strength of its bites.

*Primary Attack: A large bite. It deals absurd damage and inflicts substantial injury damage, but has a slow attack speed.

*Secondary Attack: Same as the Primary Attack, except it makes the Tyrannosaurus bite downwards instead of forwards.

Tips
*Unlocking combat talents is recommended to make your Tyrannosaurus even deadlier. Unlocking all combat talents will allow you to deal some +550 damage.

*The stomps of the Tyrannosaurus are very loud. Due to this, the Sneaky perk is high tier for the Tyrannosaurus, as it lets you walk silently and ambush prey.

*Hunger depletes fast so be careful. Always be looking for food.

*A well-grown Tyrannosaurus can do just fine hunting alone, though pack members are always a plus to have.

*Young Tyrannosaurus are often targeted by other players in fear that it may grow to become an unstoppable hunter.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
The great strength of the Tyrannosaurus only shines in its adult stage. A juvenile Tyrannosaurus will find itself slow and weak, and susceptible to being hunted. This is made worse by its loud footsteps and shallow stamina pool. Growing a Tyrannosaurus is a difficult challenge, and it will take patience and time.

Even when fully grown, however, the bad turning radius of a Tyrannosaurus can prove to be a hindrance. Enemy creatures will often aim for the tail and heels of the Tyrannosaurus, which are its blind-spots. Try mitigating this weakness by blocking your tail against a wall or standing in deep water.

Trivia
*The Tyrannosaurus used to have a feathered and scaly variant. Scaly variants has been removed at this time.

*Tyrannosaurus rex will soon be undergoing a remodel by developer Cαllie. This will be the second model for rex.
Overview
The Saichania is a playable herbivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a large, durable creature that possesses many defensive abilities that greatly help it defend against any would-be attacker.

Thriving in battle, the Saichania can use its weaponized tail to cripple its enemies, oftentimes causing them to limp almost immediately after receiving a hit. The Saichania can also turn in place to ensure its tail is facing its opponent, but even if caught by surprise at the front, it can defend its head by using its spiky shield, reflecting incoming damage right back at the attacker.

Unfortunately, all these defensive capabilities come at a big cost: a severe lack of mobility. The Saichania is a terrible runner, and will often find itself unable to escape certain deadly situations.

_________________________________________________________

Pros and Cons
Pros:

+ Super defensive

+ High attack power

+ Deals high injury damage. Can cripple even the largest predators.

+ Can turn in place

Cons:

- Very slow

- Low stamina

- Loud

- Somewhat vulnerable when young

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
Unique Attribute: The Saichania is immune to injury, meaning it will never suffer from bone-break.

*Primary Attack: A fast tail swipe to the left. It deals high damage and injury, and costs a moderate amount of ability power.

*Secondary Attack: Has identical damage values to the Primary Attack, except it makes the Saichania swipe to the right instead of left.

*Special Ability: The Saichania unravels its aptly-named "Spiky Shield" ability, which massively reduces incoming damage for a few seconds. While active, any attacks made on the Saichania will be reflected back at the attacker (for a minimum of 50% of the damage dealt). This ability costs an enormous amount of ability power per activation.

_________________________________________________________

Tips
- It is highly recommended to invest in Combat talents to allow your Saichania to defend itself significantly better.

- Play with a high FOV to observe your surroundings better, ensuring that even your blind-spots are within sight.

- Placing your head against a wall is a good strategy to force carnivores to approach you tail-first.

- An aquatic Saichania build is possible by maximizing the Swim Speed and Strong Lungs talents. A swimming Saichania can prove very difficult for a Mosasaurus to kill.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
The Saichania's slow walking and running speed will often put in many unavoidable scenarios.

- Though Saichania doesn't have many predators, a very large pack of apex predators will be able to overwhelm a lone Saichania.

- The Saichania often fails to flee from nearby floods and tornadoes, and perhaps not even locate shelter in time.

_________________________________________________________

Additional Notes
* The Saichania is the only creature that can turn in place.

Overview
The Oryctodromeus (also known as Ory or Orycto) is one of the smallest playable creatures in the game. It’s a herbivore that feeds on primarily small ferns and tubers that it can dig up while burrowing.

The Orycto has the ability to burrow and create expansive and elaborate tunnel networks. Due to their small size and relative weakness, it’s common to find them in large colonies of up to 30.

Being at the bottom of the food chain, it’s reasonably easy for most predators to catch. It has mediocre speed, although some of the best agility up next to Pachycephalosaurus and Velociraptor.

Abilities
* Peck
** Default: LMB (Left Mouse Button)
** A high DPS peck attack that deals a small amount of damage.

* Sand Attack
** Default: RMB (Right Mouse Button)
** An attack that kicks sand up into your opponent’s eyes to blind them, disable their jump, and slow their sprint speed by 40% for the duration of the effect. This also disables flight for pterosaurs.
** This attack has a diminishing return, lasting 50% its normal duration on the second Sand Attack, and 25% its normal duration on the third. After three Sand Attacks in a row, the target is immune to the effect for 18 seconds.

* Burrowing
** Default: Z
** Allows you to create a burrow entrance. Burrow entrances cannot be created too close to sea level, too close to a water source, or in rocks/caves. You can dig out tunnel nodes by right clicking, and replace dirt by left clicking. By default, 1x1 burrows can only fit juvenile creatures, other Oryctodromeus, and adult Velociraptors. However, you can expand your burrows to fit larger adult creatures.
** While burrowing, you may dig up various edible items and decorations. You can even farm edible items, if you wish.
** Your tunnels can be connected with other Oryctos' entrances and tunnels, allowing for some extremely advanced burrow structures.
** Burrows are entirely weather-proof, save for floods. If the water rises to meet your tunnels, you will be safely teleported to your most recently used burrow exit.
** Active burrow entrances can be scented and identified by their small plumes of purple smoke. An active burrow is one that's been used within the last 8 minutes.
** Burrows will completely despawn after 72 hours of inactivity. To reset this timer, any Orycto must dig out a tunnel node inside the burrow.
** If your tunnels are completely blocked off from any burrow entrances, you will receive a massive comfort debuff (Stale Air) from the lack of oxygen circulation.

Survival Tips
* Oryctodromeus must leave their burrows for water. Investing in the Hydration talent is useful for those who would like to stay underground for longer periods of time.
* A single Oryctodromeus can create 2 burrow entrances by default. Hide one of your burrow entrances under the cover of foliage and save it for emergencies.
* Oryctodromeus is somewhat slow, but it also has some of the best agility. Use this to your advantage by outmaneuvering your opponents. If you're being chased, don't run away in a straight line.
* Oryctodromeus is significantly stronger inside of its burrows. Creatures that are not Orycto will have their damage cut down by 50% while underground. They will also suffer a large comfort debuff from Claustrophobia.
* Creating your burrows on high ground may prevent storms from flooding you out.
* Oryctodromeus lacks the combat talent “Sharp Teeth”, making it a mere annoyance to large creatures, unlike Velociraptor with its potential to be a severe threat.

Trivia
* Oryctodromeus is a donor creature, and is one of the longest awaited confirmed creatures.
* Oryctodromeus was originally considered for having a feathered and scaly customization option, but this idea was later scrapped in favor of a scaly model with quills.
* One of the lead developers (Predatoria) has confirmed that burrowing is the most complex mechanic in the entire game, along with being the most difficult codework he's ever done. Burrowing and Oryctodromeus were finally completed and released after nearly two years of work on August 10th, 2020.
* Much like Apatosaurus, Saichania, and Velociraptor, Orycto is completely immune to injury damage.
* Oryctodromeus's model was created by developer Cαllie.
* Orycto has had a total of 1 model update. (From the old model by Manuelsaurus to Cαllie's current model.)

Overview
The Megalosaurus is a playable carnivorous creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is a fast predator that can chase its prey for long distances thanks to its incredible speed. Such prey include the Parasaurolophus, Velociraptor and Ichthyovenator, as well as most juvenile creatures.

The Megalosaurus can detect the amount of health a nearby creature has. This lets the Megalosaurus properly decide whether a hunt should be initiated or not, as the health of a creature can determine if a fight will be easy or rough. Additionally, the Megalosaurus can invest talent points into the ability Identification to further enhance its ability to detect, further revealing their stamina, comfort and even ability power. With such knowledge of its prey, the Megalosaurus can easily capitalize on their weakness.

_________________________________________________________

Pros and Cons
Pros:

+ Can reveal the information of its prey

+ Great speed

+ Decent damage

+ Stronger in numbers. Enough to take down Trex

Cons:

- Vulnerable to larger predators such as the Acrocanthosaurus

- Middling weather resistance

- High skill gap if you wish to hunt bigger prey

- Weak as solo. Expect to hunt smaller creatures or live off of spawn gore as a solo player.

_________________________________________________________

Abilities
*Primary Attack: A large, outward bite. It deals good damage and has a moderate rate of attack speed.

*Secondary Attack: Same as the Primary Attack, except it makes the Megalosaurus bite downwards instead of forwards.

*Special Ability: The Megalosaurus can gather the information of its prey. When the Ability Key is held down, a cursor will appear on the screen. When this cursor is pointed at a creature, it will be identified, allowing the Megalosaurus to see its stats. This ability consumes ability power.

_________________________________________________________

Weakness
The Megalosaurus is far from an apex predator. It is threatened by predators much more larger and dangerous than it, such as the Acrocanthosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex, as well as the Mosasaurus if near a large body of water.

_________________________________________________________

Additional Notes
* The Megalosaurus is currently the fastest running creature in the game, tied with the Pachycephalosaurus. However, its speed pales in comparison to swimming creatures such as the Elasmosaurus and flying creatures such as the Pteranodon

Overview
The Velociraptor (also known as Velo) is a playable carnivore in Beasts of Bermuda. It's one of the smallest playable creatures in the game, rivaled only by the Oryctodromeus.

The small stature of the Velociraptor gives it a plethora of advantages, such as squeezing through rocks, surviving immensely high falls, climbing trees, and most importantly, staying hidden. It can also jump at incredible heights: the highest of all creatures, and is even able to control the direction of its jump while in mid-air, allowing it to almost glide in the direction it chooses. Its high stamina pool most definitely compliments this feature.

Oftentimes, it is interpreted as a weak and skittish scavenger, but it is deceptively one of the strongest hunters. Such small size allows the Velociraptor to dodge attacks and bite its targets with incredible agility. With enough careful practice, a single Velociraptor can kill creatures much larger than itself!

Velociraptor also possesses quite a flexible range of playstyles. Thanks to this great variety, it's a favorite pick among many of Beasts of Bermuda's players.

Abilities
* Bite
** Default: LMB (Left Mouse Button)
** A high DPS bite that deals a small amount of damage.

* Pounce
** Default: RMB (Right Mouse Button)
** A chargeable leap that will send your Velociraptor forward at great speeds, largely ignoring any carried weight. This ability does not let you latch onto other creatures, and is very stamina-expensive. You can still take fall damage while pouncing if you leap over a sheer drop.

* Climb
** Default: E (Interact Button)
** By double-tapping E before you hit a climbable surface, you will attach to it and be given the option to climb upwards (W), slide downwards (S), move from side-to-side (A and D), and detach yourself by pressing E again. This ability does not cost Ability Power or Stamina, and allows you to scale 90° surfaces with ease. You can also climb surfaces while carrying food and other things.
** If your Velociraptor does not have at least 1 limb on the surface of which it's climbing, it will detach automatically and fall to the ground.
** There is currently a bug where sliding all the way to the bottom of a climbable surface might mesh you through the ground, and you will fall through the map. Detach from whatever you're climbing before touching the bottom to avoid this.

Survival Tips
* Velociraptor possesses a fairly weak bite at base, however, investing in the talent "Sharp Teeth" allows a great boost in damage toward larger creatures (everything, except Oryctodromeus).
** Investment in the talent "Thick Hide" reduces the amount of damage you take from smaller creatures, which may help you significantly against Velos.
* Velociraptor is the best at invading and raiding Oryctodromeus burrows. With the "Vigilance" talent, it can reduce the damage and comfort debuff of being underground. This is especially useful when it comes to your vision, giving you a larger range of sight inside burrows.
* Velo has a wide range of playstyle options, including but not limited to:
** Nest Raider - Utilizing the "Egg Thief" and "Baby Snatcher" talents, you can hunt and thrive on other creatures' offspring.
** Scavenger - You can live a peaceful life eating whatever you can find or stealing from other carnivores, rarely needing to hunt at all.
* Thanks to Velociraptor's small size, it can find shelter from storms almost anywhere.
* Although it has a fairly fast metabolism, it can fill up on even the smallest carcasses.
* Velos are extremely weak to water. While submerged, they express an extreme lack of agility and speed, and suffer Thalassophobia in the ocean.

Trivia
* There are plans to update the feathering on Velo's current model in the future to bring up the quality and reduce lag. This is not a top-priority change, though.
* Velo did have the ability to latch onto other creatures at one point, but this was quickly removed due to how buggy it was. It's highly unlikely that such an ability will ever be re-added to Velociraptor again.
* Before the September 2020 (9/6/2020) QoL patch, Velociraptors were completely immune to fall damage after growth level 2.8.
* Along with Apatosaurus, Saichania, and Oryctodromeus, Velos are immune to injury damage.

Overview
Parasaurolophus is a medium sized herbivore and currently one of three ornithopods in the game, joined by the small Oryctodromeus and the semi-aquatic Lurdusaurus.

As a hadrosaur, the Parasaurolophus lacks the major offensive capabilities of the other herbivores currently in the game. While it can be just as dangerous as other dinosaurs, if given the chance, Parasaurolophus' primary defense is to flee from large threats such as Acrocanthosaurus or Megalosaurus. It uses its superior speed and stamina to outlast them in a chase. Even if caught, a Parasaurolophus can take a number of hits before going down, allowing it to fight back against its assailants or possibly escape before death by tiring them out.

Abilities
* Stomp
** Default: RMB (Right Mouse Button)
** Deals significant damage but costs a significant amount of ability power.

* Headbutt
** Default: LMB (Left Mouse Button)
** An attack forward which does moderate damage for low ability power cost.

* Warning Cry
** Default: Z
** The Parasaurolophus is able to lock on to enemies, emitting a sophisticated Warning Cry as well as highlighting the enemy for all members of its group.
** The call varies depending on the severity of the threat, with a total of 3 tiers (Minor, Moderate, and Major threat).

Survival Tips
The Parasaurolophus is very speedy and has a large stamina pool. Use your speed and endurance as your first line of defense against a predator. The Parasaurolophus has moderate weather resistance. Only the most severe storms will pose danger to death by exposure. Your best defense is your speed rather than close combat against hungry adversaries.

Other Facts
Parasaurolophus falls prey to many species of carnivores, but a healthy adult is no pushover. Powerful legs and a considerable weight allow adults to severely injure, and possibly even kill, smaller carnivores that they cannot outrun.

The Parasaurolophus has a characteristic crest which it uses to communicate with herd members.

Crouch allows to toggle between quadruped and bipedal stances.

The Parasaurolophus is able to graze while moving at the same time, and is the only herbivore in the game that can do so.
