The Kronosaurus' immense strength is offset by its terribly sluggish swim speed. Its charge attack doesn't solve this either, as the initial charge-up requires the Kronosaurus to be immobile for the first few seconds. This makes the Kronosaurus quite vulnerable to fast attackers, especially those that gather in large groups, such as the Elasmosaurus and Pteranodon, since the Kronosaurus can neither chase or escape from them due to their faster speed. The Kronosaurus' only hope against these attackers is to predict their movement and retaliate with good timing.

However, the Kronosaurus' biggest threat of all is the Mosasaurus, as it is capable of killing the Kronosaurus just as much as the Kronosaurus is capable of killing it.

The Kronosaurus is the largest creature with access to the Elusiveness talent, which lets it become almost invisible to other players at the cost of ability power (60 ability power at stage 1, which decreases by approx 10 for every stage upgraded). Kronosaurus players favor this talent, as it eases the difficulty of growing a juvenile Kronosaurus in the midst of predators, as well as serving as an ambush tool once adult stage is reached.

As is the case for all aquatic creature, the Kronosaurus can become beached if it's not aware with the changes in tide level, or clumsily jumps onto the land.

Overview

The Kronosaurus is a playable aquatic creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It has incredible short-range dashing speed, making it a profound ambush predator. However, its sprinting speed is very mediocre in comparison to other aquatic creatures, somewhat limiting its ability to chase its prey.

Nonetheless, it is regarded as one of the strongest predators in the game, as it can instantly cripple any target with a single lunge, lowering their mobility and preventing any kind of escape, all while the Kronosaurus continues to slowly maul its victim with its bites.

An adult Kronosaurus will hunt anything in the water, from Mosasaurus to Elasmosaurus, to even terrestrial creatures who decide to take swim.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

+ Extremely powerful predator (possibly the strongest in the game)

+ High damage

+ High injury

+ Brief bursts of incredible speeds

+ Very High health

Cons:

- Slow swimmer

- Can die from beaching

- Horribly vulnerable when young

Abilities

 • Secondary Attack: Upon holding down the secondary attack button, an icon appears on the screen resembling an empty bar, which begins to slowly fill up; The Kronosaurus is preparing to lunge for massive damage! The more the bar is filled, the more damage it will do when unleashed (maximum charge is indicated by a flashing blue color). Upon letting go of the secondary attack button, the Kronosaurus launches forward, severely damaging and injuring anything it rams into along the way.

A charge will automatically be unleashed if ability power runs out while charging.

The bar icon used for the Kronosaurus' Secondary Attack. Here it is shown halfway charged.

Tips

The Kronosaurus is the largest creature with access to the Elusiveness talent, which lets it become almost invisible to other players at the cost of ability power (60 ability power at stage 1, which decreases by approx 10 for every stage upgraded). Kronosaurus players favor this talent, as it eases the difficulty of growing a juvenile Kronosaurus in the midst of predators, as well as serving as an ambush tool once adult stage is reached.

_________________________________________________________

Weaknesses

Kronosaurus, as with all other aquatic creatures in the game, suffers heavy mobility loss as well as comfort drain when beached. Additionally, the Kronosaurus is considerably slower than all other aquatic creatures in the game (except when lunging).

Lastly, and most importantly, it is one of the most vulnerable creatures as a juvenile, as it is both weak and slow.

Additional Notes

 • The spammability of the lunge was once an issue. Though its sprint speed was slow (as intended), its ability power regeneration was very high at older stages of growth, allowing the Kronosaurus to continuously use the lunge ability with little delay so it could catch up to fast creatures. This is no longer possible due to an ability power regeneration nerf. However, the Kronosaurus is still able to reach unbelievable lunging speeds as an adult, so don't ever be fooled thinking a Kronosaurus has lost you in a chase - it may just be still charging up its lunge!
