Oops, something's missing!
It looks like this page is missing something - or maybe a lot of things! Beasts of Bermuda, despite its recent player increase, has had a very loyal following that didn't require a Wiki for the most part because of how tight-knit its community is. This means this Wiki has gone unmaned for a while now! Fear not, however, for there are still many resources out there while we try to update this site, such as our New Player Guide or the Official Discord Server. See you out there on the islands!

overall

In Beast of Bermuda there are 3 god-like identities known as; Power, Mobility and Survival Deity. Each deity has a shrine and mini-shrine spread throughout the map. You can interact with these shrines to get trinkets, blessed, pledged and sacrificed, this can give you a series of benefits to your gameplay.

  • Power being red and resembling an acrocanthosaurus, Mobility being green and resembling a pteranodon and Survival being blue and resembling a mosasaurus.
  • Lots of the effects upon interacting are heavily related to Trials and Revival and Resurrection, make sure to check those pages after.

Shrines

There are by default 2 of each shrines across the map, one of each on land and the ocean. When you enter the range of a shrine you will receive a neutral buff called “Deity Shrine”. With this buff you will not be able to grow and if a player is killed no gores will be dropped.

  • You are able to smell Shrines and Mini-Shrines on your compass.

–Sacrifice–
Upon a shrine, you will have the option to sacrifice your current dino. The deity will be pleased and will boost your Trials related to the deity, matching your best trial. On the Shrine when clicking on the sacrifice option you will be able to see your current trial points and how much additional bonus you will receive before deciding to kill your active dino. This is very useful for Revives and Resurrection.

Pledge
If you decide to pledge to a deity you can receive some benefits. Your Trials related to the deity you pledged will always match your second best trial, even after death, pledge can also give you some buffs on the world event [Favor of the Deities]. Once you pledge you won't be able to unpledge, only when you die you will be free from it. Though you can still change pledges to a different deity. This is very useful for Revives and Resurrection.

–Take Trinket–
A trinket is an object used to get a blessing from a deity, you will need a trinket from a different divinity that you want to be blessed with. Trinkets can be carried in the mouth and dropped on the ground, they are also able to be smelled on the compass.

Mini Shrines

Mini shrines are what the name means, small versions of the Deity Shrines. They are more abundant across the map and easier to find, you can bless, pledge and take a trinket on a mini shrine but you can’t sacrifice your dino. Besides that, it works exactly the same way.

Blessing

Blessings are a core mechanic on Beast Of Bermudas that can greatly help your gameplay but with a great cost. Every deity has a different blessing, you can choose to be blessed for 30 or 60 minutes. Each blessing will greatly increase your hunger and thirst demanding for greater survival skills, choose wisely the right time to bless your creature as once blessed there isn’t a way to get rid of it. To be blessed you will need to take a **trinket** from a different deity that you want to be blessed with. with the trinket on your mouth, interact with the chosen deity shrine and choose the option “blessing”.

  • The blessing will only last for the time it is active, once the time is gone the effects will pass.
  • You will be able to see how much time is left for the blessing on your creature menu, on the right top of your screen in the buff.

–Power Blessing–
To be blessed by the Power deity you will need to take a trinket from Survival or Speed to a Power shrine. With the blessing of the Power deity, upon your death most of your resurrection requirements will be met, making the creature blessed easier to resurrect once it dies.
–Mobility Blessing–
For the Mobility deity you will need to take a trinket from Survival or Power to a Mobility shrine. With the blessing of the Speed deity, you will grow greatly faster than before.
–Survival Blessing–
For you to be blessed by the Survival Diety you will need a trinket from Speed or Power shrine. Being blessed by the Survival divinity you will gain different nesting related buffs, highing the chance of producing a offspring with biomutantion, increasing the nesting speed and lowering the side effects of nesting.

–TIPS–
  • Most of ths page is related with Trials and Resurrection and Revival, check both pages to fully understand the Shrines mechanics.
  • Make sure to bless only when you there is abundant food available.
