Overview
The Mosasaurus is a playable aquatic creature in Beasts of Bermuda. It is an incredibly powerful and mobile predator capable of leaping out of the water to reach its prey, then locking it tight between its jaws before violently thrashing it into the water, dragging it down into the ocean depths in order to drown it and thus kill it.
The Mosasaurus is able to grab creatures up to the size of a Tyrannosaurus rex, and is also capable of grabbing other aquatic creatures too. Due to this sheer size range of creatures it can grab, combined with the nearly impossible chance of escaping its locked jaws, the Mosasaurus has been well-received as one of the most feared creatures in the game.
Its biggest rival is the Kronosaurus, who is also an extremely deadly aquatic predator that competes for the same food source.

Abilities
- Primary Attack: The Mosasaurus bites using its powerful jaws. When fully grown, each bite depletes 8.5 ability power and deals 140 health damage in return.
- Secondary Attack: A long-range dart attack, similar to Ichthyovenator's, that causes the Mosasaurus to rocket forwards, inflicting 140 health damage to any creature it rams comes into contact with during the duration of the dash. This attack requires 48 ability power and 32 stamina for an adult Mosasaurus to perform, which is usually not enough for a young Mosasaurus to preform yet.
Special Ability: The Mosasaurus can grab most creatures that are small enough to fit in its grabbing threshold. When pressing the ability key within a short distance of a creature (default ability keybind is Z), the Mosasaurus will snatch that creature in its jaws at the cost of 15 ability power. Upon pressing the primary attack key, the Mosasaurus will thrash the creature in its jaws, dealing 163.1 health damage (in 7 bursts of 23.3) to an adult (1.0) Acrocanthosaurus. Continuously pressing the primary attack key will cause the Mosasaurus to continue to thrash as long as it has sufficient ability power, which will consistently decrease as the victim is held. The larger the creature grabbed, the more ability power is required to thrash and hold.

Weakness
With the simple mistake of beaching itself, the Mosasaurus can suddenly turn from threatening to harmless. While on land, its diminutive flippers do little to scoot its massive body forwards, causing it to move and turn at a painfully slow rate. Comfort constantly decreases at this state and predators can easily kill it, so it must get back to the water as soon as possible or it will inevitably die.

Additional Notes
- Kronosaurus is much heavier than Mosasaurus and tops it in terms of raw damage.
- The Mosasaurus appears to a community favorite, being the most well fan-received creature in Beasts of Bermuda.
- While the Kronosaurus is adept at hunting other aquatic creatures, Mosasaurus relies mostly on terrestrial prey.
