Darting allows a player to gain an impulse of speed while swimming, rapidly propelling themselves forwards.

It is very useful to escape large aquatic predators such as the Mosasaurus, or simply travel at a rapid speeds. Darting costs stamina and ability power, values being placed around 8 to 12 in cost for each, therefore it has a cheap cost. It also has a low cooldown, meaning a creature can use it many times before exhausting. But an exhausted darting creature would make a much easier meal than one who is ready to dart several times, so make sure you always have spare stamina to escape!

Being injured will significantly reduce the potency of a dart.

The following creatures are capable of darting: - Ichthyovenator - Lurdusaurus - Elasmosaurus - Mosasaurus

In the case of the Ichthyovenator, it also allows easier consumption of fish, as during a dart, its jaw will open and any fish its jaw comes into contact with will be consumed. As of right now, this ability is glitched (no fish are eaten).
