Current Fish

Fish are AI creatures that can be found aimlessly swimming in water. They provide a very small amount of food to any carnivore that bites them, but unless they are a piscivorous creature they will suffer from food poisoning. The Scavenger talent allows creatures to gain more food from fish than the default value.

Additionally, fish can be picked up, and Piscivores gain satiation from eating fish. Non-piscivorous creatures gain no satiation and only receive half the food value gained from eating fish. Consuming fish also quenches a small amount of water, but they are not reliable sources of water due to how little of it they provide.

Additional Notes

Though fish are the only AI creatures currently in the game, they are not perfectly programmed. They often swim in only one direction and sometimes even glitch through the map. They also do not have any complex behaviors so they will not swim away from dinosaurs.
